To my darling Sydney

Hello Sydney! Thank you for sharing your menu - I wish I could eat there! I'm glad you did some cooking for everyone. Yes, you may have my almanac. I loved seeing you on the video! (Well, all except for those stinky feet that kept coming into view.) I love you. Mom.

Julia - thank you so much for your call this morning. It was so wonderful to hear your voice. And you sounded so clear, like you were right next door!. Technology is so amazing, it's true!!

I am so excited that you get to go to Mt Fuji. I know this is something you have wanted to do for a long time --- next time YOU can drive, and take Andy and the kids with you! I cannot imagine even thinking of driving in Toyko. It must be Minneapolis x 1000! Not for me! Are drivers polite in Tokyo?

I'm so glad you got some pictures. They are wonderful. Be sure to take lots tomorrow.

I can't even imagine being busier next week than you have been so far. Maybe the good thing is you are so tired when you get to bed that you really sleep hard and good....is that right?

We are going to Lewistown today to see Jeanie and Jim Raw. Jeanie will be coming back to ST V's for surgery in a couple of weeks. She has Rheumatoid Arthritis (I know that is misspelled!!! RA for short), and it is really beginning to hit her. She said this surgery she has to have may keep her off of work for 6-10 weeks. I wonder if she will be able to go back? A Nurse really needs her hands! (She said she discovered that her right index finger would not bend when she was inserting a suppository in a patient.....WRONG time to discover that, for both the Nurse and the patient!!!!) She has already had rotator cuff repair on her shoulder, hammer toe repair on one foot, and needs it on the other, has carpal tunnel in both wrists. She said that they may be able to do her thumb and finger and the carpal tunnel on the right hand all at the same time...but she said her left wrist is worse, and she can hardly use it sometimes! Oh, the joys of getting older and paying for your youth! Jeanie was never one to do ANYTHING slowly, was she? She always has done things with gusto!

We got the plans back for the house remodel, and they have already been approved by the City. Now we get to shop for someone to get it done. I really think we are looking at actually doing the work after Christmas. One) I do not want a bigger mess at Christmas, and Two) most of the carpenters are finishing up outside projects that need to be done before the snow comes....Inside project can come later. That will be fine - give me more time to get things packed up and stored for a while.

Well, onward and upward. I love you very much, Take care of yourself, and no more eating things like you have eaten. A good PBJ would be ok, I think!

Love Mom
