Tales from a Male Train Geisha

After telling us about seeing a pair of Geishas, we did a little research into the subject. The word actually means "skilled person," or "person of pleasing accomplishments," or to be more scholarly, one could say that a Geisha is one of a class of professional women in Japan trained from girlhood in conversation, dancing, and singing in order to entertain professional or social gatherings of men. Interesting.... Intrigued, we viewed some very nice photographs of Geishas today and then viewed a rare performance of traditional music by some lifelong Geishas. Sydney really liked the music, but Holden wasn't impressed. Still, he said he wants to be a man Geisha with trains on his kimono. Ummm... yeah. Moving along. We also watched small videos on how Sushi is made and the cherry blossom festival. We discovered the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. came from Japan 95 years ago!!! Further, we heard from a reliable local, that celebrating the cherry blossoms is just an excuse to get loaded. What do your sources say? That's it from us today. Good luck with your first day at work. We know you must look like a million bucks (isn't that what the jacket cost???). Please post a picture! Now, before we go, we hope you can shed some light on this tidbit of information our team of cultural investigators has uncovered. You should be in the perfect position to observe this Japanese phenomenon. Is it true that alot of men make sucking noises while taking breaths when giving a speech?
